Who's the BBQ King?

In Mount Olive, the reigning Whole Hog Cook Off champ is Kevin Wooten. His team, Picking and Grilling, took top honors at the inaugural Pickles, Pigs & Swigs in 2021.

Kevin Peterson won second place with his team Showtimes Legit BBQ, and James Wilder and his Wilders Old Style BBQ placed third.

We still have a few openings in our field of 20 teams. The winner qualifies to compete in the 2023 Whole Hog Competition sponsored by the North Carolina Pork Council. Who will win a Pickles, Pigs & Swigs meat cleaver in 2022? That could be you, but you can't win if you don't enter!

Registration is $100. Register and pay online, or, download the form and submit with payment to the Mount Olive Area Chamber of Commerce. Make checks payable to Pickles, Pigs & Swigs. Proceeds, by the way, benefit the Mount Olive Downtown Development Corporation.
